This news page will be used to keep TAG members informed about meeting dates, and the subjects it is planned to cover during forthcoming gatherings.  Hitherto, members have received emails (those who are online, of course) giving this sort of detail, and I hope that regular use of the site will render emails of this sort unnecessary.

FIRE PRECAUTIONS IN THE VILLAGE HALL:

It is important not to place potentially combustible material (clothing, paper, cardboard) on the floor-standing electric storage heaters, or within a couple of metres of the wall radient heaters, and on observing proper precautions when using kitchen equipment.  When no Village Hall representative is present, the user group leader becomes the "responsible person" for the premises, and should check that the fire alarms and emergency exit lights, and all extinguishers, are functioning correctly, and that all attending a session are familiar with the location of the three exits (porch, kitchen and left-hand toilet), and that these are not obstructed inside or out, and open freely.  Any fire emergency must be reported immediately to the Fire and Rescue Service by dialling 999 or 112 on the nearest phone (mobile, or landline located 300 metres to the west of the Hall).  All present should evacuate immediately and assemble on the pavement of the Main Road, and be accounted for.

Members of the Art Group should preferably be familiar with the foregoing, in the event of the usual "responsible person" being absent. (Note that Martin Chapman is a member of our group, and can advise members at first hand, if there are any concerns).        

FORTHCOMING MEETINGS:

Forthcoming meetings will be on the second Friday of each month     MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO NOTE  DATES IN THEIR DIARIES, IN CASE FURTHER REMINDERS ARE NOT  ISSUED!

The final 2011 meeting of 2011 will take place on 9th December.  Following that meeting, John Grant will step down as group leader, and thereafter Avril and Roger Harcourt (tel. 849178, email avicreely@hotmail.com) will take the lead in organising the group.

In 2012,  meetings will continue to be on the second Friday morning of each month (from 10.am to 12 noon):

        13th January, 10th February, 9th March, 13th April, 11th May and 8th June.   subsequent meetings for the remainder of the year will continue on the second Friday of each month, and will be confirmed in due course.
