Subscriptions

The current annual subcription is £25 a year, with a discount to £23 for members who pay the following year's subscription on or before 31st December.

The Club rules provide for a concession on the subscription for those who first join the Club during, or immediately after the DAC's annual Open Exhibition each year.  The full subscription is payable by all new members joining before the Open exhibition (normally this occurs during August), but for any new member joining on the handing-in day for the Open exhibition (or thereafter), their subscription will be valid until 31st December of the following year.  See the Club rules on the "constitution" page.

Charges

Charges (currently £3 per member, and £5 per non-member visitor), are raised for attendance at demonstrations  to defray the fees charged by demonstrators.  Charges are also made for attendance at tutorials and workshops, when these are run by professional artists.

Otherwise no charges are made for attendance at other indoor or outdoor meetings, except where outdoor meetings take place at locations for which entrance or parking charges are made by the owner (or local authority).  Where possible concessionary group rates are negotiated for entry to certain establishments or grounds when these are included in the Club's current programme, but no guarantee can be given that such concessions will be available for all or any such meetings.

Entry Fees are charged to members and non-members for submitting work for exhibition at the Club's Members' and Open Exhibitions.  These fees, which are non-returnable in the event of exhibits not being accepted for hanging (and the commission on sales) are reviewed prior to each exhibition, in the light of the expected expenses of setting up exhibitions, and are published with the rules and entry forms which are sent to anyone interested.  Where possible, it is DAC policy to endeavour to make most exhibitions self-financing, in the interests of the membership generally.
